Retirement opens the door to rediscovering many forgotten passions, and for many of our residents, travel tops the list. While they often travel independently or with family, there was a growing desire to explore new destinations together as one community. This shared enthusiasm led to the formation of the Bless Tour Club, a platform where they can come together to suggest and explore more locations together.
Since its inception last year, the Club has successfully organized three trips within Kerala, each thoughtfully curated to suit the interests and comfort of our residents. We believed the first journey should start here in Kochi to celebrate its heritage, culture, and togetherness.
With residents from different parts of the world, many had not yet experienced the rich history of the city. Those originally from Kochi were delighted to play hosts, guiding their friends through the old town and sharing stories close to their hearts. After all, what could be more fulfilling than discovering your favorite city alongside your favorite people?
The day began early with a peaceful boat ride, setting a calm and joyful tone for the adventures ahead. The group wandered through the historic streets of Mattancherry and Fort Kochi, soaking in the city’s vibrant markets, striking architecture, and layered history. From iconic palaces and centuries-old churches to the serene Jewish synagogues, each stop revealed another chapter of Kochi’s rich cultural story.
More than just a sightseeing trip, the experience allowed residents to immerse themselves in the spirit of the city while deepening their bonds with one another. It was a day filled with discovery, laughter, relaxation, and shared moments—memories that will be cherished for years to come.
The trip beautifully reflected what life at Bless stands for: active ageing, meaningful connections, and the joy of experiencing life together, no matter the stage of life.
